Hellfire v Storm Friendly
On November 1st two Wheelchair Rugby teams will meet for a friendly match, although it may not look very friendly. Canterbury Hellfire will host a visit from London Storm at their training centre. The date is set and 12 noon is the time. Everyone is welcome; a taster session means spectators can even test their strength and skills in a rugby chair.
After doing some research on Canterbury and seeing their 3.5 player Ollie Mangion train with us, this mixed division match will be one to watch. Looking at their team list on the Canterburyrfc website I can see a number of line ups. So if all their players attend it certainly will be an interesting match. Being coached by 2012 Paralympic Captain Steve Brown, you can guarantee this fairly new team will be well drilled in the art of Wheelchair Rugby. They’ve already shown their superiority in Division 3 by becoming 2015 National Shield Winners.
So come along to watch a match-up of champions and why not enhance the experience by joining in the taster session. It’s free of charge so bring the whole family and make a day of it.
